All students, including those staying in either homestay or residence, are provided with lunch at the school during the week. The lunch consists of a sandwich, fruit, a drink and a packet of crisps.
At the weekend, students staying in homestay accommodation will have lunch provided by their hosts, and those staying in residence will have a packed lunch provided by the reisdence to take on trips.

Staff can cater to special diets, including vegan, halal, lactose intolerant and gluten free diets BUT students must inform the school of any requirements before travelling.

CES Edinburgh at 54 Manor Place is very well‐served by Edinburgh’s tram and bus networks, making access from around the city easy.
The nearest bus stop is Palmerston Place, West End, just a couple of minutes’ walk from CES Edinburgh.
Other very close stops include those on West Maitland Street, Grosvenor Street, and Chester Street — all around 1–5 minutes on foot.
Bus routes stopping nearby include 13, 2, 33, 47B, X18, X26, X37 among others.
The Haymarket tram stop is the closest tram connection, about 300-400 metres away — a walk of roughly 5–7 minutes.
From Haymarket trams run frequently to many central and outlying points, making it a convenient option for access to / from the wider city.
All students receive a full induction on their first day at Manor Place. This includes useful information on how to navigate the city, your classes and timetable, and the door code to gain access to the school building.
Please try to arrive 15 minutes before your first class is due to start.

▪ Your teacher will check your name off on the class list. Stay with your class at all times. If a member of your class is missing, tell your teacher. DO NOT go looking for him/ her.
▪ Do not re-enter the building until you have been given the all clear by the prinicpal or director of studies. NEVER GO INSIDE UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD IT IS SAFE!
