North Berwick Full Day Trip

North Berwick is a picturesque seaside town on Scotland’s east coast, about 25 miles from Edinburgh. Known for its sandy beaches, dramatic coastal scenery, and relaxed atmosphere, it’s a popular spot for day trips and holidays. The town sits in the shadow of the Bass Rock—an iconic volcanic island home to one of the world’s largest gannet colonies—which can be viewed up close on boat tours from the harbour.

North Berwick has a charming high street filled with cafés, independent shops, and bakeries, alongside attractions like the Scottish Seabird Centre and the historic Tantallon Castle nearby. It’s also a notable golfing destination, with several renowned links courses. With a blend of natural beauty, wildlife, history, and small-town charm, North Berwick offers a classic Scottish coastal experience.

During your visit, you will visit Tantallon Castle and get plenty of time to explore this magnificent cliffside stronghold. You will then continue your adventure in the town, with amazing beaches to relax on during your free time. Next up is a visit to the Scottish Seabird Centre, where you can find out about the amazing wildlife living nearby. 

Finally, you will get the opportunity to climb up North Berwick Law. After a short climb you will get incredible views of East Lothian, and it's a great opportunity for a group picture!

After climbing down, you will get on the coach back to Edinburgh

09:00–10:00 – Coach to Tantallon Castle

10:00–11:30 – Free time to explore the Castle 

11:30–12:00 – Town Centre Orientation 

12:00- 14:00 – Free time 

14:00- Visit to Sea Bird Centre 

15:00 – Coach to North Berwick Law, climb the hill

16:30 -   Coach back to Edinburgh

17:30-     Arrive Charlotte Square for drop off
